Materials you may need:

- Stiff broom or brush (stiff but not metal so as not to damage the lawn)
- Hose or bucket with water
- Mild soap solution in a spray bottle or equal parts water and vinegar solution.

Artificial turf can be cleaned in much the same way as any indoor floor. Many times dry leaves and other debris such as papers can land on artificial turf.
For balconies and rooftops, we recommend that you pick them up by hand (if there aren’t many) or by using a flexible rake to pick up all the trash on one side before putting it in the garbage can. For larger areas such as gardens, perhaps an air blower from the hardware store can be very useful for this task.
For artificial turf installed indoors or on balconies, you can use the vacuum cleaner and wash it with water if you wish, which will make your artificial turf look like new!
For artificial turf installed outdoors, you can also use the vacuum cleaner, but you must be more careful to avoid removing the sand infill from your artificial turf.
Periodic cleaning
Constant traffic on artificial turf can result in certain areas being flattened and losing their natural aesthetics and becoming a carpet. Therefore, it is advisable to perform periodic maintenance of artificial turf.
To do this, simply take out the brush or stiff broom and brush upwards the artificial turf, to get those flattened areas back to verticality. After that, spray with a mild soap solution (or vinegar and water) and, with the hose, finish by rinsing the whole area with water.
