What is Atmös?

Atmös is a solution we apply to artificial grass during its manufacturing process, forming an invisible microscopic network of inorganic mineral oxide particles on its surface.

These particles are activated through oxidative photocatalysis, a natural process where UV-A light energy excites and activates the Atmös molecules.

The activation of these molecules triggers a chemical process that breaks down organic matter present on the grass. This decomposition leads to the following benefits for your garden:

1 m² of artificial grass with Atmös is equivalent to the decontaminating effect on the environment of one mature tree.

The same studies confirm that the effect of trees in urban environments achieves a reduction of between 1% and 7% of NO2. Taking this into account, it has been determined that each m² of Atmös achieves reductions between 8% and 17% of NO2.

In conclusion, comparing both figures, Atmös has a greater decontamination effect than a mature tree.

What is the durability of Atmös in artificial grass?

Atmös is a highly durable technology that ensures complete effectiveness for up to 8 years in outdoor spaces thanks to its application with specialized machinery using static charge micronebulization. This process allows for an optimal finish that guarantees long-lasting adhesion to the treated grass.

Does Atmös work on cloudy or rainy days?

In both cases, that’s right. Atmös is activated by ultraviolet radiation, which is always present to some extent from dawn until dusk. On cloudy or rainy days, the UV index only diminishes slightly, since part of the radiation still passes through even a fully overcast sky.

Only fog and low clouds significantly reduce UV exposure; even then, some UV radiation remains, so Atmös would continue to work effectively.

Does Atmös lose effectiveness over time?

Atmös has full effectiveness for 8 years on artificial grass in outdoor spaces. After that period, over time, its effectiveness will gradually and progressively decrease, and its durability and efficiency will depend, in any case, on atmospheric conditions, usage, and the environment.

Can the air purification in the environment be noticed?

We don’t have the direct ability to notice the improvement in the ambient air quality, but indirectly, our body receives a higher percentage of cleaner air than before. Therefore, the effect of Atmös will be noticeable in the long term in individual well-being.

Although Atmös has a self-cleaning function, if the artificial grass is cleaned conventionally, can it affect the effectiveness of Atmös?

It could affect its effectiveness, since using conventional cleaning products may coat the surface of the artificial grass, which would then receive less ultraviolet light and could reduce the action of Atmös.

Considering that it is a self-cleaning surface, it is recommended to remove any dirt with water or a rake. In case of specific stains, use a mild soap diluted in water on the affected area, and then rinse thoroughly with plenty of water to remove any residue.
