We tell you all the secrets of an artificial turf that reacts to fire safely and effectively:
Let’s find out!
The fibers used in the manufacture of artificial turf are made of a polymer material (either polyethylene, polypropylene or polyamide) and therefore react to high temperatures. For this reason, they can also be altered if exposed to fire.
The new EU regulations are very protective and make a classification of the required certificates more appropriate to the different uses.
The products Albergrass® products comply with this standard within the classification offloor coverings.
As Albergrass®is a manufacturer, we certify each and every one of our products for their reaction to fire.
Each product has its own certificate according to its technical characteristics, so our customers can enjoy our products with total guarantee.
For example: a product such as our exclusive Melange Arena II has a Cfl-S1 classification. Such a rating means that it is a combustible material, but with limited contribution to fire.
It is better to translate it to make it easier to understand: if al Melange Sand IIa flame or an incandescent body is applied to it , it would burn, but it would not spread the fire (it would simply lower the height of its hair). In addition, the smoke produced would be of low opacity (the lowest toxicity). To ensure the safety of its users.
Let’s be more explicit with an example: if a burning kerosene lamp falls down in the garden, the fire it would produce would not spread throughout the whole enclosure, but would only damage the part affected by the fire.
Albergrass® offers, therefore, more security and peace of mind whenchoosing an artificial grass for our garden .
If you are thinking of getting artificial turf, don’t hesitate and bet on maximum security. In Albergrass we will be happy to propose you what best suits your needs.
